About me

Born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland, it was no doubt that I was to attend the University of Maryland after my senior year of high school. I am 19 years old and love to travel, meet new people, and immerse myself into diversity. I give myself credit, as I completed an exchange program to China, speaking no Mandarin at all. It was then that I was able to change how I think and how I viewed our world. This discovery made me realize that I must go into international business. I began to acknowledge that I thrived off of new values and morals, keeping my spirits lifted and my determination high. Now that I am at the Smith business school, my goal is to market myself as much as possible. I want to make as many personal connections with professors as I can, leading me to mentorships and internship opportunities. By choosing the Public Leadership scholars program I am able to work on developing mentor-like qualities, which will help me begin my own business in finance one day. This program will teach me how to engage a room, communicate respectfully to my employees and peers, and ultimately introduce me to diverse leaders who have made a significant impact all over the globe. 11/18/2020
